About Cindy Knighten

I often say "I wasn't born in the Mountains, but I got here as soon as I could". Born and raised in Minnesota, I got my degree at the University of Minnesota. Thanks to the ROTC program there, I received a commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. The Air Force offered me the best opportunity to see the world, and also have a progressive career. I wanted a career that would always feel challenging and new.

Turns out I chose well! Between the ranks of "green" Second Lieutenant and Captain, I enjoyed positions such as Squadron Commander of more than 750 airmen in Biloxi, Mississippi; and Protocol Officer for two different four-star generals at NORAD and Space Command Headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After fulfilling my military commitment, I chose to work in real estate but I also worked in the insurance industry and mortgage loan industry. Personally I think all of that training just prepared me for my MOST important "career"- raising 2 boys. It sure has come in handy!

One of the best things about real estate is that it is always changing-- even while the fundamentals stay the same. I think that's why it's held my interest.
